Cura Day Hospitals Group has expanded its presence in South Australia with the acquisition of Seaford Day Surgery.
It joins Adelaide Day Surgery and Glenelg Day Surgery in Cura's portfolio, which now includes 37 private short-stay facilities across the country.
"This acquisition not only expands our network but also complements our existing facilities in the region, enabling us to better serve the growing healthcare needs of the local community in Southern Adelaide," Cura CEO Peter Freeleagus said.
Seaford Day Surgery's services include ophthalmology, gastroenterology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, and general surgery.
The private facility features two purpose-built operating theatres, with five first-stage recovery beds and seven second-stage recovery chairs.
It is located in Seaford Heights, a metropolitan suburban development in the City of Onkaparinga, south of Adelaide.
"We extend a warm welcome to the staff, doctors and doctor shareholders who are joining Cura as part of this transaction and look forward to supporting the team to continue to provide high-quality care to patients and to drive the ongoing success of this hospital," Mr Freeleagus added.
Cura acquired Glenelg Day Surgery in 2022, while Adelaide Day Surgery has been part of the group since 2009.
The Seaford deal follows Cura's purchase of the PresMed group at the start of 2025.
