Recovery is a key stage in any patient's treatment – so North West Private Hospital in Brisbane has added new onsite rehabilitation services.
Local patients recovering from illness or injury can now recuperate at the Everton Park-based facility's new inpatient rehabilitation ward.
Complementing the hospital's existing day rehabilitation services, the 20-room ward will provide tailored plans supported by dedicated nursing and allied health staff.
"We are thrilled to open our new rehabilitation ward and expand the services we offer to the local community," North West Private Hospital CEO Kelly Grant said.
"The new inpatient rehabilitation service will provide personalised treatment plans designed to help patients achieve greater functional independence and improve their quality of life."
Ms Grant said the new ward would embrace a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare provided by a diverse team of professionals.
"Patients on the rehabilitation ward will have access to our experienced team of healthcare professionals including rehab nurses, occupational therapists, physios, speech pathologists, dietitians and mental health professionals," she said.
"Our goal is to provide patients with the highest quality of care and support them in their recovery journey, helping them return to their homes and loved ones as quickly and safely as possible."
Since joining Ramsay Health Care in 2005, North West Private Hospital has undergone two major redevelopments, including a $55 million expansion project completed in 2020.
Licensed for 150 beds, it has seven operating theatres and a 44-room maternity wing.
