Pindara Private Hospital making Christmas special for all


Pindara Private Hospital employees have once again shown their generous spirit in supporting the annual Christmas raffle and raising over $9000.00.

This year, the hospital supported the Gold Coast Community Fund’s 2016 Stocking Appeal, which donates 100% of funds raised back into the community to assist Gold Coasters in need during the holiday period.

Ticket sales from the raffle raised $2,050 with Jess Steytler from Rehabilitation taking home the first prize -a basket hamper that included: a football signed by Gold Coast Titans players, gourmet nibbles and luxury homewares.

Pindara Private's executive management matched the amount raised by staff dollar-for-dollar and donated a further $5000, with a total of $9,100 being given to the charity.

And it's not just the staff getting into the festive spirit, patients will be treated to a special Christmas feast.


Patients in Pindara Private Hospital will be treated to some holiday cheer with a traditional meal being served on Christmas day.

Lunch will consist of an entree of prawn and avocado cocktail or cauliflower and potato soup followed by a main course of festive turkey and honey glazed ham with celery and sage stuffing and herb gravy. Roast vegetables and potatoes will also accompany the meal which will be topped off with a festive strawberry mousse tower.  Dinner will provide additional Christmas variety with beef tenderloins and thyme jus, roast vegetable frittata or smoked salmon salad as main course options. Festive Christmas pudding with custard or chilled watermelon and cherries will follow for a typical Australian Christmas touch. Staff too will receive an extra special lunch provided by Executive Management and the talented chefs which will include turkey breast with apricot and thyme stuffing, honey glazed ham, rosemary jus and roast vegetables followed by traditional warm plum pudding and custard.
