Keith Richardson has been appointed to the council of the Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA) following the departure of Gavin O’Meara.
Mr Richardson is the national human resources manager at Ramsay Health Care.
He has worked for the hospital group for 10 years and has primary responsibility for the maintenance of good employee relations and human resource management in the company’s hospitals in New South Wales and Victoria.
Mr Richardson has primarily worked in employee relations management roles throughout his career.
He was an industrial advocate representing employers with the Metal Trades Industry Association (now Australian Industry Group) before moving to the stevedoring industry where he worked for a decade.
Prior to joining Ramsay Health Care, Mr Richardson was consulting to the private hospital sector in employee relations.
“I look forward to making a positive contribution to the APHA council,” he said.
APHA chief executive Michael Roff welcomed Mr Richardson’s appointment.
“Keith comes to APHA as a strong supporter of it as an industry advocate representing our sector with a strong and united voice,” he said.
