Julie Huntington is a clinical psychologist at Pine Rivers Private Hospital in Redcliffe, Queensland and says working with her passionate team is the best part of her job.
In her spare time she loves to bake and is into CrossFit. But she’s also keeping a hair-raising secret from her colleagues.
What do you love about your job and why?
My team are a great bunch, they are truly passionate about their work and are always striving to support our patients in the best possible way. Their creativity in delivering such a broad range of evidence-based therapies is inspiring and wonderful. For me, I really enjoy working on program development. Seeing patients progress in their journey is always a joy to see.
Why did you become a clinical psychologist?
I started out wanting to either be a sports psychologist or a forensic psychologist, but found the clinical side of things more interesting at university – so I continued in that path.
