Competition heats up at Lifehouse for 2017 Tinsel Trophy

Competition is hot at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse this year for the annual Tinsel Trophy, with wards and departments going all out with their decorations to compete for the coveted prize.

Day Surgery won the trophy last year by wrapping the whole ward in Christmas paper. In a bid to keep the trophy this year they’ve created a very Aussie Christmas based around an actual beach with sand and water.

Special visitor and volunteer, Joan O’Leary, is back as ‘Mary Christmas’. Joan has more than 2000 Christmas decorations inside her Sydney home and is certainly no Christmas Grinch.

Here she is delivering supplies to patients and visiting the Markarterie Christmas market, which raises funds for the Arterie program, providing art-based support for the Lifehouse community.
